Inaugural Holiday Lights in the Park an Overwhelming Success
The Friends of Recreation for East Pennsboro Parks hosted a "Holiday Lights in the Park" drive-through experience at Adams-Ricci Park on December 17 and 18. The event was planned by the organization to promote the betterment of the EP Park system.
The event attracted more than 1,700 cars and raised $11,000 for EP Parks, according to Board member and Leaf of Eve Owner Deb String.

Thanks also to community members who contributed to the effort including Deb Thornton, who donated Christmas lights, Deborah Leonard who played Enola Miller, Jack Baker and Lorrie Simmoneau, who sat in as Santa and Mrs. Clause, Cadet Girl Scout Troop #11640 which decorated "Christmas in Nature," and other volunteers who provided general assistance.
