Rite Aid recently announced that it will close 63 of its stores in a cost-cutting move.
Heyward Donigan, President and CEO of the Camp Hill-based corporation, said that this is a "first phase" of a store closure program to reduce costs and drive profitability.
The company announced in September that it will be moving its headquarters to Philadelphia early next year as it shifts to a focus on remote work.
No word yet on which stores are slated for closure.
Employees impacted will be offered the opportunity to transfer to other stores.
