This coming Saturday, the 5th Annual Guido Eramo Memorial Bocce Tournament will be held at the Bocce Courts at Adams-Ricci Park.

For those who are unaware, Bocce Ball is an Italian game, similar to lawn bowling, played on a long, narrow court, with the objective of getting player's wooden balls closest to a smaller ball, called a pallino.

Cost is $20 per entrant, with half the proceeds split between the top three teams and half benefiting the Friends of Recreation at East Pennsboro Parks.

Players can register from 8-9 a.m. with the game beginning at 9:00.

Teams will be constructed by random drawing of registered players (32 or 48).

The event is named in honor of Guido Eramo, who passed away in 2016. Eramo was an avid Bocce player and was one of the individuals who was instrumental in getting Bocce courts at Adams-Ricci Park.

All over the age of 14 can compete; no experience is necessary.

Registration is available in person, or via email by writing Ron Blauch at ronbo717@yahoo.com, or Nancy Sullivan at nancy.sullivan12@verizon.net
