West Creek Hills Locked Down Briefly Today
EP Superintendent reports a brief lockdown at West Creek Hills today:
At approximately 1:35pm today, the East Pennsboro Township Police Department alerted the West Creek Hills Principal to go into lockdown. A student from a close neighboring school district made a serious threat against his school. Within 5 minutes, that student was taken into custody. The emergency lockdown at West Creek Hills Elementary School lasted less than 5 minutes. There was no direct threat to our students, staff, and school community, however, in cooperation with the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, we operated for the period of time out of an abundance of caution. Our students' and staff's safety is our primary importance. We recognize and acknowledge our East Pennsboro Township Police Department and our West Creek Hills staff for following our safety protocols and keeping our school community safe.
